James Woodard is slowly returning to life. He is starting over after spending 27 years behind bars. He was wrongly imprisoned and cleared by DNA. Woodard was convicted of raping and murdering his girlfriend in 1981 and sentenced to life in prison. He was released on April 29, the 17th Dallas County, Texas, inmate to be exonerated by DNA testing.

A strong aftershock hit already devastated southwestern China today, triggering landslides, blocking roads, knocking out phone lines and burying vehicles, state-run media reported. Survivors still are being pulled from the rubble four days after being buried by the initial 7.9 magnitude quake.
